AEW Beach Break airing over two nights instead of four-hour block

As it turns out, next month’s AEW Beach Break editions of Dynamite and Collision will not be a single live four-hour block after all.

First noted by Post Wrestling after consulting both the latest TBS updated listings and with AEW officials, the Wednesday, May 14th Dynamite will be in its usual spot with Collision being taped afterward for air in its usual time slot on Saturday, May 17th. The night will take place at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

During this week’s Dynamite, Excalibur referenced a four-hour block of live programming for Beach Break which many took to mean just that considering the two four-hour live specials on the docket for June (Fyter Fest, Summer Blockbuster).

It will be the fourth overall Beach Break-themed night in company history dating back to 2021 and the second straight year the themed show has emanated from the Chicago area with last year’s event being held at the Wintrust Arena.

AEW’s April/May Schedule:

  • Wednesday, April 30: Dynamite in Norfolk, VA
  • Saturday, May 3: Dynamite in Atlantic City, NJ
  • Wednesday, May 7: Dynamite in Detroit, MI
  • Thursday, May 8: Collision in Detroit, MI
  • Wednesday, May 14: Dynamite (live) & Collision (taped) Beach Break in Chicago, IL
  • Wednesday, May 21: Dynamite (live) & Collision (taped) in Albuquerque, NM
