AEW confirms injury to former Tag Team Champion

In a four-way tag team match on this past Saturday’s AEW Collision, Colten Gunn of Gunn Club appeared to injure his knee but it took until Dynamite for it to be confirmed.

During Wednesday’s Dynamite, it was mentioned on commentary that the 34-year-old was indeed injured, preventing he and brother Austin from being part of the newly-announced eight team Tag Team title eliminator tournament.

The exact injury wasn’t revealed, nor a timetable for a return. Gunn grabbed at his knee after a jumping punch spot with Big Bill, rolled to the apron, and wasn’t involved or seen the rest of the match.

Gunn Club had just returned to aid Juice Robinson in his own return at this month’s All In.

Saturday’s four-way was the Gunns’ first match since this past February when they lost to reigning champions The Hurt Syndicate. It’s unknown why they missed nearly the entire first half of the year.

The two have wrestled just three times since mid-September 2024. They are former AEW Tag Team and Trios Champions in addition to being former ROH Six-Man Champions.
