AEW Continental Classic

Wednesday’s three-hour Holiday Bash edition of AEW Dynamite and Collision featured three Continental Classic matches with more on tap for this Saturday as the tournament winds down to an end.

The opening match saw former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley defeat Roderick Strong who was looking to play spoiler as he has been eliminated from winning the Blue block.

In their first-ever singles meeting in AEW, PAC defeated former TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher who has now lost two straight Gold league matches in the tournament. PAC now joins Mike Bailey, Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada with six points each.

The final bout of the night was in the Blue league as Orange Cassidy got a much-needed pinfall victory over Mascara Dorada. The win now ties Cassidy with rival Moxley (six points) with both men one point behind league leaders Konosuke Takeshita and Claudio Castagnoli (seven points).
