AEW Grand Slam Mexico ticket sales doing well above YTD average months away from show

AEW Grand Slam Mexico will be taking place on Wednesday, August 5th from Arena México in Mexico City. Despite the show still being just under a couple of months out, the ticket sales appear to be doing very well (at least from the data that is publicly available).

According to the latest update from WrestleTix, 5,146 tickets have been distributed for the show thus far. A full attendance estimate is not possible right now, though, as the Balcón (balcony) and Gradas (stands) sections are not visible or countable on the current map, despite tickets still being available in both areas.

The venue has a listed capacity of approximately 16,500, while the visible lower-level seating currently accounts for 6,071 seats. The only sections on the map that are currently not opened or accounted for are N5 and all of the VIP boxes behind it.

AEW Grand Slam Mexico Ticket Sales

The current year to date average for AEW events is 3,288, so even without the tickets in the balcony and stands sections being taken into account, the show is still well over the YTD average at 5,146 distributed.

For context, 13,000 tickets are listed as distributed for the last time that the company ran the building, which was for the 6/18/2025 episode of Dynamite (Grand Slam Mexico 2025).

No matches have been confirmed for the card right now, but several CMLL talents have been advertised, including Mistico. It’s likely we’ll be able to get a more solid figure of tickets distributed in the weeks ahead, but it is looking like AEW might be able to at least approach the number they got for the event last year.
