AEW’s Hook to make indie debut in May

Hook is being sent to a ring other than AEW.

It was announced Saturday that the rookie phenom will make his indie debut on Saturday, May 14th in Melville, New York, for Create A Pro, a top wrestling school in New York that also does events. His opponent wasn’t announced.

The 22-year-old son of AEW announcer and former ECW & WWE star Taz, Hook made his much-anticipated debut last December on Rampage, defeating Fuego Del Sol.

As of now, he has wrestled just six times and remains undefeated with all of his bouts lasting under five minutes. He has picked up wins over Del Sol, Bear Bronson, Blake Li, Serpentico, Aaron Solo and, most recently, QT Marshall at February’s Revolution pre-show.

In recent weeks, Hook has been featured in segments where he declines to answer questions from interviewers looking to talk to him. As part of that, Danhausen has been attempting to “curse” him with Hook simply blowing him off as the curse doesn’t affect him as it does others.
