AEW officially announces Saturday Collision to launch on TNT

The rumors of a new AEW TV show turned out to be true.

Announced during Wednesday’s WBD upfront in New York City and by the promotion itself, AEW Saturday Night Collision was officially unveiled: a two-hour show that will air live on Saturdays on TNT.

It will be the third AEW in-ring focused program on the WBD networks, joining AEW Dynamite on TBS Wednesdays and AEW Rampage on TNT Fridays.

It will launch on Saturday, June 17th and air live weekly from 8-10 PM Eastern.

CM Punk, who has been heavily tied to the new TV show, was not mentioned in the release, but Miro, Samoa Joe, Thunder Rosa, Powerhouse Hobbs, and the returning Andrade El Idolo were.

The venue/location for the first one was not announced, but it has been reported that it will be from Chicago’s United Center.

No mention was made of a brand split in the release.

As of now, there has been no announcement of a new rights nor the financial implications of the new weekly show for AEW. No AEW streaming deal announcement was made either.

In March, rumors started of AEW and WBD discussing the third show which only intensified throughout April and May.
