AEW TV updates: Spring BreakThru, Playoff Palooza & Dynasty pre-show

AEW Spring BreakThru

Spring BreakThru and Playoff Palooza themed editions of AEW Dynamite and Collision are returning this April — one of them taking place on a Thursday.

Revealed in their monthly HBO Max schedule release, the Spring BreakThru Dynamite will take place on Wednesday, April 15 from Kent, Washington, with the Collision edition airing on Thursday, April 16 as opposed to that Saturday, presumably due to NHL playoff coverage on TNT. The Collision episode will be taped after Dynamite on April 15 and will not be live.

The concept was launched last April in Boston with back-to-back live episodes. This year’s shows will be the follow-ups to the Dynasty pay-per-view.

Again, presumed to be due to the NHL playoffs on TNT, Playoff Palooza will return for the Saturday, April 25 episode of Collision that will be taped in Portland, Oregon, the Wednesday before. The episode is scheduled to air at 8:30 pm Eastern, slightly later than usual.

Of note on the schedule, there is no Zero Hour pre-show listed for HBO Max ahead of Dynasty on Sunday, April 12. The Revolution pre-show aired on HBO Max in addition to YouTube, social media, and other PPV outlets.

However, that also simply might be an oversight as Dynasty is not included on the schedule at all as Revolution was the month before.

It’s also possible WrestleDream from last October will be put up on the archives on Sunday, April 5. That’s because there is a listing for “AEW Dynamite PPV” on that day but that could be the aforementioned Dynasty just on the wrong date. The dates in general are all shifted a day later than they should be.

We’re working to figure that out.
