Finals set in AEW Women’s World Tag Team title tournament

The first-ever AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions will be crowned on next Wednesday’s Winter is Coming edition of Dynamite and both finalists are now set.

On Wednesday’s Dynamite, The Timeless Love Bombs (Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa) defeated The MegaProblems (Megan Bayne & Marina Shafir) in a holiday-themed death match that also served as a semifinal.

The end came when Storm hit Shafir with a gift-wrapped high heel shoe, followed by a small package for the victory. The match also saw the return of Storm’s butler, Luther, who had been absent for some time and delivered the shoe to Storm.

The match gives Storm and Shirakawa a measure of revenge after the end of last month’s Blood & Guts match that saw Shafir and Bayne double-team Shirakawa while Storm was held back, leading to her submitting for her team.

Storm and Shirakawa now move on to face The Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale) to determine the inaugural champions.

Storm and Shirakawa advanced to the semifinals by virtue over their quarterfinal victory over Alex Windsor and Riho.
