AEW’s Chris Jericho to star in ‘Country Hearts’ movie

AEW’s Chris Jericho is heading to the movies.

Debuting this fall, the former AEW World Champion will star in UPtv original film Country Hearts, first announced Tuesday by Variety.

Jericho will play Bones Jamieson, a rock star ranch owner, who is the father and husband to “a family of country music artists, all the while trying to start a new horse breeding business,” according to Jericho on Instagram.

UPtv is a faith-based streaming service that focuses on family friendly entertainment.

A sequel to the movie has already been greenlit, but it’s unknown if Jericho will star in it.

The film’s description states it’s about “the daughters of country music and rock & roll royalty who find themselves at a crossroads, torn between following their dreams of performing or helping their father run their up-and-coming horse breeding business. Between old flames, new love, best friends and family – they’ll all need the strength of each other to face the next steps.”

Jericho has previously played roles in movies and TV shows like MacGruber, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, Terrifier 2, Sharknado 3 and more.
