John Silver tweeted Friday that he will be out 4-6 weeks after suffering a shoulder injury on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, but will not require surgery and there’s no major damage.

The Dark Order member sustained the injury during his main event match with TNT Champion Darby Allin. While they were on the outside of the ring, Silver ran at Allin and went over the barricade. As he did, his right arm appeared to plant awkwardly as he hit the cement. He worked the rest of the match, eventually losing by pinfall, but was favoring his arm. On the same spot, he also hit the back of his head on the cement.

After years on the indies, Silver and tag team partner Alex Reynolds debuted in AEW in October 2019 and were eventually put into the Dark Order. The 30-year-old started breaking out as a cult favorite based on his BTE appearances which resulted in more prominent roles on both Dynamite and pay-per-views.
