AEW’s Konosuke Takeshita to make House of Glory debut

Former AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita will make his House of Glory debut next month.

Announced by the promotion Wednesday night, Takeshita will debut for the New York City-based indie promotion on Friday, April 25th against an opponent to be named. The event, named Isolation, will stream live for TrillerTV subscribers.

It will be Takeshita’s first appearance for a United States indie promotion since wrestling for both Defy and West Coast Pro in 2024.

The reigning NJPW NEVER Openweight Champion joins reigning quadruple champion and AEW star Mercedes Mone who debuted for HOG last weekend with a win over former WWE wrestler Indi Hartwell. That event also featured former AEW Tag Team Champions Private Party as well as Danhausen.

The Takeshita appearance continues a longtime arrangement between the two sides for AEW talent to appear on HOG shows.

Following Takeshita’s International title loss to Kenny Omega at this month’s AEW Revolution, the 29-year-old returned with a 90-second victory over Max Caster as part of last Wednesday’s Dynamite. He will team with the Murder Machines against Powerhouse Hobbs, Mark Briscoe and Rocky Romero as part of this weekend’s Collision shows.
