AEW star to debut for Maple Leaf Pro this summer

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling on TSN

Andrade El Idolo is heading north of the border in August.

Scott D’Amore’s Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling announced on Wednesday that the AEW star will be making his promotional debut on August 7 and 8 as part of their Mayhem TV tapings for TSN.

The shows take place at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. His opponent(s) were not announced.

The move continues the unofficial partnership of sorts that has seen talent from AEW compete in MLP since its launch. Talent from TNA, ROH, NJPW, MLW and NOAH have also appeared in MLP as has a women’s WWE ID title match.

Announced in late-March, their TV deal will see Mayhem air weekly on TSN2 starting on July 15.

MLP was founded in 2024 by D’Amore, who had purchased the intellectual property of the classic Maple Leaf Wrestling promotion. They ran two events in 2024 and seven in 2025; Global Wars is their first show of 2026.
