Bandido offered full-time AEW contract

Following his performance against Ring of Honor Champion Chris Jericho on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, Bandido was immediately offered a full-time contract by AEW.

Dave Meltzer reported the news in Friday’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, adding that there is no confirmation the former ROH Champion has signed his deal.

The 27-year-old made his promotional debut at this week’s show in Philadelphia against Jericho in the main event, impressing both with his strength in an extended vertical suplex spot and his high-flying style.

Bandido made his debuts for both Impact and MLW in the U.S. this year. He’s a regular on various U.S. indies and also on AAA events in Mexico.

He had a multi-year run in ROH from 2019 through 2021, winning the World title from Rush at Best in the World in July 2021. After failing to appear at Final Battle in December 2021 due to COVID-19, he lost the title in a unification bout of sorts to Jonathan Gresham at this year’s Supercard of Honor.

He’s also a former ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champion and former PWG Champion.
