Casino Ladder Match, eight-man tag set for AEW Dynamite Anniversary

For the first time since May 2020, the Casino Ladder Match will return to AEW as part of next Wednesday’s anniversary edition of Dynamite.

No participants were announced, but the winner will earn a future World title shot. The first and only other such match featured nine men and was won by the debuting Brian Cage.

Next week’s show from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will also see an eight-man tag team match that has been brewing for a month as Bryan Danielson, Christian Cage, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus will take on The Elite: World Champion Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks and Adam Cole. Both sides got into it again Wednesday following Danielson’s challenge of Omega and then anyone in The Elite when Omega declined.

Hikaru Shida will go for her 50th win in AEW when she takes on Serena Deeb for the first time ever. This will be Deeb’s first match since July and Shida’s first Dynamite match since May.

Here’s the current lineup:

  • Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks and Adam Cole vs. Bryan Danielson, Christian Cage, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus
  • Hikaru Shida vs. Serena Deeb
  • Casino ladder match for an AEW World title shot
