Cody Rhodes is dealing with a slight left rotator cuff tear he suffered during a tag team match taped last Thursday that aired on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.

According to Bryan Alvarez, he isn’t expected to miss much, if any, time. The injury was suffered when Rhodes took a suplex from Cezar Bononi during the match that featured he and Nightmare Family stablemate Lee Johnson defeating Peter Avalon and Bononi. Johnson was announced as signing with AEW afterward.

The injury and Rhodes’ TBD status was first revealed at the end of a Coach’s Corner segment featuring Arn Anderson that went up on AEW’s social media after Dynamite. Rhodes hasn’t said much on social media to this point outside a tweet with an injured emoji.

As of this point, Rhodes is scheduled to team with Red Velvet against NBA Hall-of-Famer Shaquille O’Neal and Jade Cargill on the live March 3rd Dynamite in an angle that has been building up for several months.
