Darby Allin returns on AEW Dynamite, promises The Elite ‘we are just getting started’

For the first time since a brutal Anarchy in the Arena match that saw him hung upside down by a winch above the ring, Darby Allin made his return to AEW on Wednesday’s Dynamite with a specific target in mind: The Elite.

Allin appeared in a backstage segment as Elite stooge Brandon Cutler was laid out with black and white paint on his face. The camera then panned up to show Allin who referenced a TNT Champion Jack Perry line about sacrifice and said Cutler just made his.

“The Elite…you really thought this was over? Dynamite 250…I promise you we’re just getting started,” he said.

Allin, FTR and Bryan Danielson failed to defeat The Elite at the aforementioned Anarchy match at May’s Double or Nothing. Perry was a part of The Elite and was set ablaze by Allin’s flamethrower at one point. Allin’s nose was feared to be broken during the bout, but he was given a clean bill of health afterward as it was just “messed up” according to our Bryan Alvarez.
