First match set for next month’s AEW Dynamite Beach Break
The match between Chris Jericho and Tommaso Ciampa is set for next month.
The two will battle at AEW Dynamite Beach Break, which takes place in Clearwater, Florida on July 8. On Collision, both came out and argued. Jericho said that it didn’t matter which version of Jericho comes after Ciampa, they are all going to “kick his a**.”
Ciampa responded by saying this is, in fact, the Jericho that he wanted and issued the challenge for next month. Jericho accepted, saying while they’ll wrestle in Florida, they are going to fight tonight. The two brawled until Ciampa low blowed Jericho and threw him into nearby steps. Ciampa took the now-bleeding Jericho and pummeled him with punches, then connected with a knee in the ring to end the segment with him standing tall.
Right after Jericho defeated Ricochet to end their feud last, Ciampa jumped Jericho, later mocking his 1,004 holds promo and saying he wanted to expose the real Jericho and end his wrestling career. On this week’s Dynamite, Jericho accepted a face-to-face confrontation for Saturday’s show.
