FTR in-ring debut, Cody-Marq Quen set for next AEW Dynamite

Two weeks after they first made their presence felt, FTR will make their AEW in-ring debut against The Butcher & The Blade on next week's edition of Dynamite.

In that debut segment, FTR (the former Revival) were attempting to stare down the Young Bucks, but kept getting jumped by Butcher and Blade, eventually driving them out of the ring with a spike piledriver and Shatter Machine, respectively. On this week's show, Butcher and Blade busted into the set where FTR was doing an interview which eventually led to a match being booked.

After being off for two months, Butcher and Blade returned to action on the May 27th edition of Dark where they defeated Joe Alonzo and Jon Cruz. This will be FTR's first action since a WWE house show on March 1st.

Additonally for next week:

  • TNT Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Marq Quen: During commentary, Tony Schiavone said that Ray Fenix would be challenging the winner of Cody vs. Jungle Boy instead, contradicting a graphic that ran during the rundown for next week. However, Tony Khan clarified on Twitter that Quen is getting the shot.
  • Colt Cabana vs. Sammy Guevara: Cabana lost to Inner Circle teammate Chris Jericho on Wednesday's show and interfered in the match early on.
  • Inner Circle (Santana, Ortiz, Jake Hager) vs. Best Friends and Orange Cassidy: There wasn't any conflict between the teams on this week's Dynamite, but there was a confrontation between Cassidy and Jericho following the latter's win over Cabana.
