FTR to take select number of indie bookings

AEW roster members FTR announced Monday that they will be taking a select number of indie bookings in the near future.

In a statement released via Dax Harwood’s Twitter account, the two said that just wrestling wasn’t enough and leaving a legacy is important to them. In order to do that, they said they need to wrestle the best teams in the world and have their fans say “FTR was the best” when they eventually retire.

They said they will work closely with their booking agent and indie promoters to find the best teams to work with to help accomplish their goals.

FTR has worked just one indie date since signing with AEW — a Big Time Wrestling show in late-January 2021 against The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express. They also worked last December’s AAA Triplemania Regia event as they hold their Tag Team titles.

The duo didn’t appear at Sunday’s AEW Revolution. They wrestled 33 times for AEW in 2021 and just five times so far this year — three of those in traditional tag team bouts.
