FTR vs. Johnson & Anderson AEW Dynamite match canceled due to medical protocols

Wednesday’s scheduled AEW Dynamite match featuring FTR vs. Lee Johnson and Brock Anderson was canceled due to medical protocols, according to Dave Meltzer.

Meltzer said it was not FTR that failed the protocols.

It’s unknown whether it was Tully Blanchard, Johnson, Brock and/or Arn Anderson that failed the protocols or what the reason for failure was, but Meltzer said the hope is the match will be rescheduled soon.

The cancellation wasn’t announced on the show and the match wasn’t mentioned in tweets for the show earlier today.

The match was made last Wednesday when FTR and Blanchard walked in on the Andersons and Johnson and tried to recruit Brock. That eventually led to the challenge being laid out for tonight’s show.

FTR were last in action on January 5th in Newark, New Jersey, for a taped Dark: Elevation match while Johnson and the Andersons were part of this past Saturday’s Dark tapings in Orlando, Florida.
