The fifth meeting between AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR and the Young Bucks is official for next month’s Revolution pay-per-view.

The title match for Sunday, March 15 was announced during Wednesday’s Dynamite. FTR and Stokely Hathaway were doing an in-ring promo running down the Bucks when they snuck in from behind, superkicked the champions, and then did the same to Hathaway.

Afterward, Matt & Nick Jackson suggested they get their earned title shot at the PPV which was later confirmed. The two earned the opportunity on last week’s Dynamite by virtue of their victory in a three-way tag team eliminator featuring The Rascalz and the returning Private Party.

Winning the belts at last November’s Full Gear, FTR are in their third AEW Tag Team title run and will be looking to defend the titles for a fourth time. Conversely, the Bucks will be looking for their fourth title run and their first since April 2024.

Their first-ever meeting came at 2020’s Full Gear which saw the Bucks defeat FTR for the titles. The two teams rematched on an April 2022 edition of Dynamite which saw FTR retain both the AAA & ROH Tag Team titles.

They would meet for a third time at August 2023’s All In London where FTR retained the AEW Tag Team titles with their last clash coming at April 2024’s Dynasty where the Bucks defeated FTR in a ladder match for the then-vacant titles.
