Future World Tag Team title match made on AEW Dynamite

Doyle & Davis

AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR now have their next title challengers confirmed after Wednesday’s Maximum Carnage edition of Dynamite.

Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler will defend against the new Don Callis-led team of Jake Doyle & Mark Davis who won a four-way title eliminator to earn the shot.

The end came when Davis hit a pull-up piledriver on Kevin Knight for the pin. That was after Doyle countered a Mike Bailey hurricanrana attempt by blocking it and throwing Bailey over the top rope onto both the Young Bucks and the Gates of Agony on the floor.

After the match, Doyle and Davis were confronted by Harwood and Wheeler in the ring and had to be pulled apart. A date was not announced for when the match will take place.

Doyle, the former Jake Something, made his Dynamite debut last week after signing with the company. Davis will be looking for his first AEW title of any kind while he is a former ROH Tag Team Champion.

FTR is in their third run with the titles after defeating Bandido at last November’s Full Gear. They have two successful title defenses since then, both against the Bang Bang Gang.
