Hazuki advances in AEW women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament
Hazuki has advanced in the women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament.
The Stardom wrestler scored a surprise win on Saturday, pinning Persephone with a cradle to advance in the tournament. She will now move to the semifinals where she will face Mercedes Mone.
After the match, Hazuki made her way up the ramp as suddenly Mone appeared and attacked Persephone with the Owen Hart tournament title. She put the statement maker on Persephone until Hazuki came back to make the save. As Hazuki was checking on Persephone, Mone attacked her as well as security rushed to break up the fight.
At the end of the night it was Hazuki who stood tall, however, wiping out Mone with a dive to the outside to close out the show.
Mone returns, Athena advances in women’s Owen Hart Foundation touranment
Mone ended up being the wildcard of the tournament, defeating Alex Windsor this past Wednesday. It was the first time Mone has wrestled since the end of 2025, when she dropped the TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale.
Persephone had been put out of action in storyline after she was misted by the Triangle of Madness. She returned to television on last week’s Collision, doing commentary for a Hazuki match.
The other side of the Owen Hart Foundation bracket has Athena already in the semifinals, defeating Mina Shirakawa back at Double or Nothing. She will face the winner of the match between Sareee and Skye Blue that takes place this coming Wednesday at AEW Dynamite Summer Blockbuster.
