Hook to face NJPW LA Dojo ‘top prospect’ on next AEW Rampage

On next Friday’s Forbidden Door go-home edition of AEW Rampage, Hook will take on “a top prospect” from the New Japan LA Dojo.

The news was revealed on Friday’s Rampage in a backstage promo with Lexy Nair and Danhausen and was the only match announced for next week’s show.

Hook will be looking to remain undefeated in his young AEW career at 9-0. He was last in the ring at May’s Double or Nothing when he teamed with Danhausen in a win over Tony Nese and Mark Sterling.

This Wednesday’s Dynamite will also see a heavy NJPW presence as Hiroshi Tanahashi will make his AEW in-ring debut as he teams with Jon Moxley against Chris Jericho and Lance Archer.

The show will also feature three members of the United Empire (Will Ospreay and Aussie Open) in trios action against Orange Cassidy and Roppongi Vice.

Forbidden Door is set for next Sunday at the sold-out United Center.
