IWGP Tag Team Champions issue challenge for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door
IWGP Tag Team Champions HENARE & Great-O-Khan are ready to wrestle at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
HENARE and Great-O-Khan don’t currently have a match scheduled for the Sunday, June 28 pay-per-view at SAP Center in San Jose, California. However, HENARE responded to an NJPW post on X about the show, writing:
“O-Khan and I are ready for anyone who wants to step up.”
HENARE and Great-O-Khan won the IWGP Tag Team titles from the Knockout Brothers, OSKAR and Yuto-Ice, at NJPW Dominion on June 14 in Osaka-jo Hall. It is their second reign with the belts.
Should someone accept HENARE and Great-O-Khan’s challenge, it would be the second NJPW title match set for Forbidden Door. The IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship will be on the line when Shota Umino defends against PAC.
Umino recently accepted PAC’s challenge for the show in what will be Umino’s first defense of the title since winning it at Dominion in a three-way match against Drilla Moloney and then-champion Andrade El Idolo.
