Former TNA wrestler makes AEW Dynamite debut, gets new name & new contract
Jake Doyle — the former Jake Something — is officially All Elite after making an appearance during a pre-AEW Dynamite angle on social media leading into the show.
In the clip seen below that was also aired on Dynamite, Renee Paquette was backstage and reported that JetSpeed had been taken out ahead of tonight’s trios match, speculating it was due to The Demand’s bounty on them.
Ricochet, the Gates of Agony and Don Callis then appeared with the AEW National Champion saying all he did was say if anyone was to take out JetSpeed, they would get a lump sum of money. Callis said someone or something just got very rich from taking them out.
Callis then brought in Doyle and Mark Davis and said they were going to kill some people, indicating they are a new team in AEW. Later in the show, the two took part in an attack on the Young Bucks and Jack Perry after their match with The Demand.
An hour after Dynamite ended, Tony Khan officially announced Doyle is under contract.
Doyle/Something’s contract with TNA Wrestling expired at year’s end. The 36-year-old has actually wrestled in AEW before, appearing three times on AEW Dark in May/June 2022, losing to Jay Lethal, Danhausen and Matt Sydal.
