Kenny Omega/Young Bucks trios match reportedly targeted for AEW All Out

The in-ring return for former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega is reportedly on the horizon.

Fightful reported the news Tuesday, following up on a Dave Meltzer note during a recent Wrestling Observer Radio that a third meeting between FTR and the Young Bucks is being held off due to a “major angle” that has yet to begin.

The tentative plans, according to Fightful, are that Omega would team with the Bucks in a trios match at the September pay-per-view. Opponents weren’t mentioned, but there is speculation it could be against current stablemates Adam Cole and reDRagon.

We have not independently confirmed the report as of this writing.

The report didn’t state whether that would be Omega’s official in-ring return.

Omega, who is rehabbing following several surgeries, told Fightful in a June interview that his original return date was the Forbidden Door pay-per-view but that he didn’t want to return too soon.

Omega has been out of action since last November’s Full Gear when he lost the AEW World title to Hangman Page.
