Kenny Omega responds to report about planned time off from AEW

AEW star Kenny Omega took to X Thursday night to respond to a Thursday report about taking time off that will include this month’s AEW All Out.
Fightful Select had reported that Omega being taken out on a stretcher at the conclusion of Wednesday’s Dynamite (seen above) was writing him off TV for a while due to a planned break, one that includes a trip to Japan.
Omega took umbrage with the report, responding with the following while also not denying he is going to be out of action:
“Time off? Specialized hospital visits and work that had been planned for a year, but sure, let’s bait the trolls. I’m just trying to improve what I can and represent the company in a positive way while not performing. Don’t be misleading with headlines, please and thank you.”
Part of that planned work would appear to be at the Tokyo Game Show as Fightful report. It’s unknown when the former AEW World Champion might return.
