The inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship tournament has its first finalists after Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite — the same show that saw an interesting stipulation made for a semifinal match.

The Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron) advanced by way of their semifinal victory over The Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart & Skye Blue). The end came when Nightingale hit a Doctor Bomb on Hart to pick up the win after she collided with Blue.

Nightingale and Cameron advanced to the semifinals after defeating Athena and Mercedes Mone in the quarterfinals. Hart and Blue advanced by beating Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata.

Nightingale and Cameron will await the winners of Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa vs. Marina Shafir & Megan Bayne that will now be a “hardcore holiday death match.” Because Storm and Shirakawa picked up a victory in a four-way at Full Gear, they got to choose a stipulation and revealed it Wednesday.

The match will take place next Wednesday with the date/location of the finals yet to be announced.
