Konosuke Takeshita vs. Jay Lethal set for AEW Rampage

Konosuke Takeshita is staying busy on his latest AEW excursion as he faces former Ring of Honor World Champion Jay Lethal on Friday’s AEW Rampage.

On tonight’s Dynamite, Takeshita was announced as appearing Friday when Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh approached him. Lethal took exception to the attention being paid to Takeshita and challenged him to a match.

The bout joins three other matches previously announced.

Takeshita is riding a two-match winning streak (Brandon Cutler, Rhett Titus) going into Friday.

In a preview of the women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, Toni Storm will team with Ruby Soho against former AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter.

In the final qualifying match for the tournament, former AEW Women’s Champion Riho will return to the ring for the first time since January when she faces the returning Yuka Sakazaki in her first AEW action since July 2021.

Hook will look to keep his undefeated streak alive as he faces one half of The WorkHorsemen and The Wingmen in J.D. Drake.

Friday’s show will start at 5:30 PM Eastern/2:30 PM Pacific due to the NHL playoffs on TNT. The matches are being taped after tonight’s Dynamite in Baltimore.
