Mark Briscoe to face Samoa Joe for ROH TV title

Mark Briscoe is set to face Samoa Joe for the ROH World Television Championship.

On this week’s Ring of Honor TV, Briscoe issued a future title challenge to ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe, which Joe accepted.

Following a successful defense against Tony Deppen on this week’s show, Joe took the mic and declared an open challenge for his Championship, noting that he runs Ring of Honor. Briscoe then answered the challenge by issuing his own challenge to Joe, which Joe accepted.

No date was announced for the future title match, but the Supercard of Honor pay-per-view on March 31 appears to be a likely destination.

In addition to Joe defeating Deppen, two other title matches took place on this week’s ROH TV.

Wheeler Yuta successfully defended the ROH Pure Championship, defeating Timothy Thatcher. Yuta is also set to defend the Pure title on next week’s episode, taking on Clark Connors.

In Thursday’s main event, Athena retained the ROH Women’s World title, defeating Willow Nightingale in the main event.
