Mercedes Mone hints at impending AEW return date & location
Former TBS Champion Mercedes Mone is on her way back to AEW and it may be in less than two weeks.
The multi-promotional champion hasn’t been seen on AEW TV since a vignette on the January 10 Collision which was preceded by her being embarrassed with a faceful of cake on the prior Dynamite during Willow Nightingale’s TBS Championship celebration.
After saying in that vignette that she was returning for more than titles, there is now a hint of when that return could be.
Mone appeared on Wrestling Time on Italian TV station IL61 when she was asked for a message to her fans (seen below):
“I’m returning (to AEW) really, really soon. But right now, I am on my Mone Madness Tour all over Europe. First, it started in Mexico, now here in Italy, next stop is Paris, then London, then Poland, then Winnipeg. After that, Mama is gonna return home,” she said.
The Winnipeg mention is relevant as Mone will defend the WPW Women’s title at WPW Fight at the Museum on Tuesday, March 31. AEW Dynamite will be held in Winnipeg the next night.
As of this writing, Mone still holds five indie titles but has been on a stretch of dropping them during this tour and 0-5 in her last five title matches.
