Mistico officially under AEW contract

Moments after winning his first AEW title, Mistico was officially announced to be under AEW contract during Sunday’s AEW Revolution.

Mistico, Kevin Knight and “Speedball” Mike Bailey won the AEW World Trios titles during Sunday’s Revolution pay-per-view, defeating Mark Davis, Kyle Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada.

As the three were celebrating in the ring, the #AllElite graphic was featured on the video screen, causing Mistico to get emotional.

AEW head Tony Khan has said in the past that Mistico is one of his favorite wrestlers of all time.

The 43-year-old has been a fixture in CMLL, an AEW partner, for years, winning the Wrestling Observer Wrestler of the Year award for 2025. He is currently the company’s Light Heavyweight Champion and Trios Champion alongside Neon and Mascara Dorada, the latter of which is also under AEW contract.

Mistico made his AEW debut in October 2023, competing in 16 matches including Sunday’s. He’s also wrestled six times for the Khan-owned Ring of Honor.
