Mistico to appear at upcoming AEW Collision

CMLL star Mistico will return to the AEW ring next month.

The promotion announced on Friday that he will appear at the Saturday, March 1st Collision event from Oakland, California’s Oakland Arena.

It will be the 42-year-old’s first appearance in AEW since the November 27th Collision where he teamed with Private Party in a win over Johnny TV and MxM Collection.

On an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio this past week, Dave Meltzer believed Mistico was heading to Oakland for the show given some comments about travel he made recently.

Mistico, a longtime favorite of AEW head Tony Khan, made his promotional debut in October 2023 with a win over Rocky Romero in a best-of-three falls match. He returned for one-off appearances in January, February and March 2024 before entering a Casino gauntlet match in May that was won by Will Ospreay.

He made his Forbidden Door debut last June, teaming with Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo in a win over Titan, Hiromu Takahashi and Yota Tsuji.
