MJF returning to indies for December match

Former AEW World Champion MJF is once again returning to the indies for a match, this time against fellow AEW roster member QT Marshall.
MJF will face Marshall as part of Boca Raton (Florida) Championship Wrestling’s Festival of Fights on Sunday, December 15th. The former champion will also host a ticketed meet and greet before the event.
This will be MJF’s first U.S. indie match since his appearance for Create-A-Pro Wrestling in May 2023. Since returning from an extended absence earlier this year, he has also wrestled for RevPro in the UK and CMLL in Mexico in addition to AEW.
Despite their lengthy careers, the two men have only shared the ring twice and competed against each other in a singles match just once — that being on the 2020 Jericho Cruise.
While Marshall is preparing for his televised AEW in-ring return as part of November’s Full Gear against Costco Guy A.J., he routinely works indie shows in addition to dark matches for AEW.
