NJPW & Stardom wrestlers, Jay White in-ring return part of full AEW Collision lineup
The Forbidden Door will stay open for another day as part of a special Thursday edition of AEW Collision.
Several NJPW and Stardom wrestlers will be in action on the show, just three days after last Sunday’s pay-per-view.
In one match, Stardom’s Rina will make her AEW debut as she takes on reigning ROH Women’s World Champion Athena. The winner will nab the first spot in the newly announced women’s Casino Gauntlet match on next Wednesday’s Dynamite that will crown a Women’s World title contender for this month’s Redemption pay-per-view.
Another will see Unbound Co.’s Drilla Maloney and Shingo Takagi take on Claudio Castagnoli and PAC of the Death Riders while the other features Kyle Fletcher against ELP.
After being out for more than a year, Jay White will return to action, teaming with Adam Copeland and the Gunns against Shane Taylor, Lee Moriarty and The Infantry. White returned at Forbidden Door to aid Copeland and Christian Cage in retaining their World Tag Team titles against The Dogs which Cage wasn’t a fan of.
After being jumped by the Don Callis Family on Wednesday’s Dynamite, Andrade El Idolo will begin his march through the group as he faces Brian Cage.
In a match for the second spot in the Women’s Casino Gauntlet, Maya World will look to rebound from her loss to Mercedes Mone at Forbidden Door against Julia Hart.
In what should be an action packed trios bout, Bandido, Mistico and “Speedball” Mike Bailey will take on The Rascalz.
The card is rounded out by The Demand in trios action and Thunder Rosa & Mina Shirakawa teaming up.
Collision is airing on Thursday this week due to the debut of a new boxing show on TNT this Saturday, part of a new monthly deal. The matches are being taped after Dynamite from San Diego and we will have spoilers up shortly.
