Penelope Ford injured during AEW Dynamite match, finish reportedly changed

AEW Dyamite Penelope Ford injury

While challenging for the AEW Women’s tag team titles, Penelope Ford found herself injured on the latest edition of Dynamite.

On Wednesday, during the February 25 episode of Dynamite, MegaBad (Penelope Ford & Megan Bayne) took on Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale) for the women’s tag team titles; however, the match did not end originally as planned.

According to Fightful Select, Ford sustained an injury that ruled her out of the match. Midway through the match, an audible was called that MegaBad’s manager, Lena Kross, would run in and cause a DQ, instead of leaving the match as a 2-on-1, with the heel Bayne fighting two babyfaces.

During a commercial break, Ford was checked and ruled out of the match. After Cameron got tagged out, she remained largely out of the match, too.

Fightful Select further reported that they are working on getting an update on Ford’s status. An audible was called mid-match to cover up the original plans. The report also claimed that they are currently working on finding out the original planned winners. The change also caused a few immediate adjustments on the show.
