Report: Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion expected to join AEW

Former WWE & NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Isla Dawn may be on her way to becoming #AllElite.
Wrestlevotes reported on Thursday that the 31-year-old Scotland native was recently backstage at an AEW event and the expectation is she will start with the company in the near future.
After signing with WWE in 2018, Dawn was released in February 2025. After starting with the NXT UK brand, she made her way to the United States in October 2022 with NXT. She and Alba Fyre won the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles, losing them less than three months later to then-WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler in a June 2023 unification bout.
She remained on the main roster from that point forward with she and Fyre winning the WWE Women’s tag titles at June 2024’s Clash at the Castle, losing them to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at August 2024’s Bash in Berlin.
Dawn hasn’t been in the ring since a February WWE Speed bout against Shotzi Blackheart.
