When Jack Perry signed his AEW contract, he really did sign it.

Fightful Select reported on Sunday that Perry signed his new deal with AEW during the segment that aired on Wednesday’s Dynamite.

“Jack Perry’s contract signing was legitimate, and we’re told it was the actual contract being signed on the AEW segment. He had not re-signed prior to that,” they wrote.

Speculation on Perry’s future

Since June, it had been reported that the former Jungle Boy’s contract with AEW was close to expiring, and had not re-signed. Following Forbidden Door in June, Khan said the plan was for Perry to remain with AEW for “a long time,” though didn’t provide any details beyond that.

During this renegotiation period Perry continued to wrestle and compete on AEW television. Ahead of his match against Kenny Omega at Forbidden Door, Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Perry in a match that took place on Dynamite.

Earlier in the year, Perry had defeated Ricochet to win the AEW National title. He lost it in May to Mark Davis, who remains the champion.
