Jack Perry officially re-signs AEW contract
After more than a month of speculation, one of the original “four pillars” of AEW will be sticking around the company for a while longer.
Revealed on Wednesday’s Beach Break edition of AEW Dynamite, Jack Perry put pen to paper with Tony Khan in a video feature that aired late on the show where he talked about his goals and, among other things, that he needs to win the AEW World title (seen below). He didn’t appear on the show in person.
Perry is an AEW original, debuting at the first-ever Double or Nothing in a Casino battle royal. Mainly a tag team wrestler with Luchasaurus and Marko Stunt early on, he held the AEW World Tag Team titles before eventually moving onto singles action. He’s held both the TNT and National titles in addition to the ceremonial FTW belt.
On Tuesday, our Bryan Alvarez reported Perry’s deal was up very soon and he still hadn’t re-signed.
Khan had said on the Forbidden Door media call that he hoped a deal would be finalized to keep Perry with the company for years to come. Perry’s last action came in defeat to Zack Sabre Jr. on the June 24 Dynamite.
