Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs enter AEW Owen Hart Foundation tournament

With the second AEW Owen Hart Foundation tournament set to begin this month, the men’s field has its first two official entrants.

On the debut edition of AEW Collision Saturday, former TNT Champion Powerhouse Hobbs and former FTW Champion Ricky Starks said they are both entering the tournament which kicks off this month on AEW TV as continues at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

AEW head Tony Khan has said the tournament will end on Saturday, July 15th in AEW’s Calgary, Alberta, Canada debut as part of a live episode of Collision. The official start date has yet to be announced.

Neither Hobbs or Starks were in last year’s men’s tournament.

It has not been announced if last year’s tournament format will remain the same which includes qualifying matches to whittle down to eight participants.

Last year featured one bye and and seven qualifying matches. Cole defeated Samoa Joe and Britt Baker beat Ruby Soho at Double or Nothing to become the men’s and women’s tournament winners, respectively.
