After their recent clash that saw Ricochet defeat “Jungle” Jack Perry to retain the AEW National title, the two will do it again very soon.
Perry defeated Anthony Bowens in a title eliminator on Saturday’s AEW Collision to earn the opportunity, pinning him after connecting on a running knee strike. Afterward, Perry chased after the champion who was on commentary and attacked him in his chair before Ricochet ran away.
The date and show where the rematch will take place has yet to be announced.
Ricochet defeated Perry on the New Year’s Smash edition of Dynamite in their first ever meeting, earned after Perry pinned him in an eight-man at Worlds End. Ricochet won the inaugural title at November’s Full Gear in a Casino Gauntlet match and has five successful title defenses thus far in four different promotions.
Perry is looking for his third AEW singles title (recognized and ceremonial) following a TNT title run in 2024 and an FTW title run in 2023. He and Luchasaurus also held the AEW World Tag Team titles in 2022.
