Samoa Joe vs. Nick Wayne rescheduled for AEW Collision

A match originally set to take place this past Wednesday is now official for this Saturday’s Homecoming edition of AEW Collision as Samoa Joe will face Nick Wayne.

Travel issues due to winter weather postponed the bout.

The former AEW World Champion made his surprise return on last week’s Dynamite to aid Hook against Christian Cage’s Patriarchy crew.

Joe hasn’t wrestled or appeared on AEW since last July when he lost to Chris Jericho in a street fight and was taken out backstage by a forklift driven through a wall by Jericho. It was a storyline to cover for Joe heading off to film season two of Twisted Metal for Peacock. Wayne is coming off a defeat to Hook on a late-December Rampage.

Here’s the current lineup for Saturday in Jacksonville, Florida:

  • Mariah May & Toni Storm meet face-to-face
  • Big Bill vs. Powerhouse Hobbs
  • Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard & Angelo Parker vs. Undisputed Kingdom (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong)
  • Buddy Matthews & Brody King vs. The Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona)
  • AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita defends against Katsuyori Shibata
  • Samoa Joe vs. Nick Wayne
