Scorpio Sky says ‘it’s hard’ not wrestling regularly in AEW

Despite being part of the AEW roster since 2019, Scorpio Sky has not wrestled regularly on All Elite television recently.

The 43-year-old member of SOcal Uncensored recently opened up on the Tagging in with Chris Harris podcast, where he addressed his mindset when not wrestling regularly or being used frequently on television.

It’s a really like a mind f, because on the surface it could be a lot worse. You’re sitting at home, getting paid, and there are people that don’t have a place to live. There are people that are struggling and living paycheck to paycheck. They’re working 60 hours a week and they’re barely able to make ends meet. So when you think about it on that scale it’s like, ‘I can’t complain man.’ But then there’s other days when you’re just like, ‘Man, I grew up dreaming of doing this. I didn’t grow up dreaming of getting paid to not do it.’ It’s hard,” Sky said.

Sky noted that not wrestling when not injured gets “frustrating.” He also added that he wants to wrestle because that’s how wrestlers earn their next contracts.

That’s the nature of the business. I think a lot of wrestlers have gone through it, not just myself. There’s a lot of talent in all the companies and you’re never going to get used as often as you’d like to be used. So, you just kind of have to roll with it and try to put yourself in the best situation you can and be ready when your jersey number does get called,” he finished. (H/T Fightful)

Once a frequent television star and even a two-time AEW TNT Champion, Sky last wrestled at AEW Revolution 2026, and before that he was active in the early part of 2026, wrestling on Collision.

Scorpio Sky discusses his AEW contract

In the same interview, Scorpio Sky opened up in detail about his current AEW contract. “You know, I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you I thought about what I’m going to do and what the future looks like,” Sky said. “But I really try not to put too much into that. Right now, I’m focused on finishing this chapter the right way. I have a lot of stories and matches and moments left to be a part of, and I’m excited to step into those moments. So we’ll let tomorrow handle tomorrow and I’m just going to focus on today.”
