The Demand wins Trios titles on AEW Dynamite

The Demand

After 108 days, AEW has new Trios Champions after Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite.

The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona) defeated reigning titleholders Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong of The Conglomeration to kickstart their first run with the gold.

The win didn’t come without controversy as The Demand were assisted by the Lethal Twist trio of Jay Lethal, Blake Christian and Lee Johnson who have been trying to join Ricochet’s faction. Christian hit Cassidy with a top rope belt shot, giving Ricochet the opening to hit the Spirit Gun, get the pin, and win the titles.

Afterward, The Demand and Lethal Twist attacked the former champions which led to Brody King coming out to help but he was also overwhelmed. After appearing earlier in the night, Hangman Page made his return to Dynamite for the first time in months to even the odds, hitting a Buckshot lariat on Lethal.

The win ends The Conglomeration’s run with six successful title defenses after they defeated The Dogs at April’s Dynasty to win the titles.
