Thekla makes AEW debut on Dynamite, attacks former Women’s World Champion

Thekla

Former Stardom standout Thekla is now officially in AEW.

On Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, former AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter was out to share some thoughts following her loss to Mercedes Mone in the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation tournament at this past Sunday’s Double or Nothing.

Thekla’s music and entrance video suddenly hit before Hayter could get going. She then attacked Hayter and left her laying, posing afterward (seen below).

News of Thekla’s signing first leaked three weeks ago following the end of her Stardom run and the first on-screen appearance of a black and red spider. The animated arachnid was also seen in the following weeks as well. but was not acknowledged by the announcers.

The 32-year-old known as the “Toxic Spider” ended her multi-year run with Stardom in late-April amid reports that she was heading to the United States and signing with AEW which had been reported was in the works for some time.
