Thekla makes surprise appearance at Stardom The Conversion 2026
Thekla’s rivalry against her former promotion continued on Saturday.
The AEW Women’s World Champion made a surprise appearance at Stardom The Conversion 2026 on June 20. Following the third match of the show, Stardom president Taro Okada was addressing the crowd when Thekla appeared behind him and attempted to cut his hair with clippers.
Thekla, who in storyline was fired from Stardom in April 2025, attacked Okada and attempted to spit on the Stardom logo in the ring.
Starlight Kid, Thekla’s opponent at Forbidden Door, then came out to make the save. Kid closed the segment by holding up the AEW Women’s World Championship and saying that the next time she held the title she would be champion.
AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door is set for the SAP Center in San Jose on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
