The in-ring return for former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa finally has a date attached to it.

Announced on Wednesday, Rosa will return no later than April 28 as she is booked for Riot Cabaret Pro Wrestling’s Thunder Wall as she faces Alexxis Falcon. It’s being billed as a title unification bout as Rosa holds the promotion’s World title while Falcon holds the Legacy Women’s World title.

The above assumes she will not wrestle until then which is unclear at this point.

The 39-year-old hasn’t competed since getting injured during last July’s AEW All In: Texas women’s Casino Gauntlet match which saw a number of other wrestlers also get hurt. Last October, she said she was preparing to return soon with the actual injury still not disclosed.

It’s been a tough few years for Rosa who missed 16 months from August 2022 through December 2023 due to a back injury and then missed several months in the late summer/early fall of 2024 with a concussion.
