Former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa has been out of action since July’s All In: Texas after suffering an undisclosed injury in the first-ever women’s Casino gauntlet match.

However, there may be light at the end of the tunnel for the 39-year-old.

During an interview conducted at the Big Texas Comic Con this past weekend (seen below), Rosa said she is focusing on “continuing the rehab from the injuries I just had a couple of months ago.”

“I have really good news,” she continued. “Everything is going really well. So, I’m expecting to return to the ring fairly soon.” She was not asked about what specific injuries were.

It’s been a frustrating last few years for Rosa who missed 16 months from August 2022 through December 2023 due to a back injury and then was out several months in the late summer/early fall of 2024 with a concussion.

She has been keeping busy during this latest absence, noting she was a flag bearer at this past weekend’s Mega Procession of Catrinas in Mexico City as well as doing work with both the NFL and Houston Texans.
