Tony Khan: ‘Top wrestler will walk through the forbidden door’ on AEW Dynamite

According to AEW’s Tony Khan, “a top wrestler will walk through the Forbidden Door” and make their debut on this Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite in a Face of the Revolution qualifying match.

Khan (seen above) had teased “newsworthy info” on Friday’s Rampage, but after the show, he tweeted the following:

On Rampage, it was announced there would be a qualifying match for the Face of the Revolution ladder match, but no participants or stakes for the match were announced.

Then, Khan tweeted again:

The AEW Twitter account later confirmed that the person debuting will be in the qualifying match against Kassidy.

During Rampage, it was said that Khan would have a “major announcement” this Wednesday but it was unclear if the debut was the announcement and it was just delivered early or if this is what he was referencing earlier in the day.

Khan took to Twitter to clarify again:

MJF will also be on the show following his big win over CM Punk on last Wednesday’s Dynamite.

Here’s everything that has been announced for Wednesday’s debut show in Atlantic City, New Jersey, that includes just two matches as of now:

  • AEW World Champion Hangman Page vs. Lance Archer Texas Death Match for the title
  • MJF appearance
  • Face of the Revolution qualifying match: Isiah Kassidy vs. “a top wrestler” debuting
  • Inner Circle team meeting
  • Tony Khan “major announcement”
